King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity
King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity is a national cultural Foundation that is honored to be presided over by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques who supervises it directly and continuously. “Let us each play a part and assume responsibility with regards to the initiation of this foundation, which does not exclude anyone, but rather constitutes a partnership involving all of us, we the citizens, without exception.” With these words, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, President of the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, described the nature of this Foundation, its goals of encouraging gifted youth and the development of their talents. In a statement made on the eve of the Foundation’s initiation, whose name he chose, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques said: “Giftedness without nurture from its people is like a small shrub without water or care. It is irreligious and unreasonable to neglect or ignore it. Therefore, it is the mission of each one of us to cherish what we plant and nurture it until it becomes strong and its branches grow leaves to shade us and under which we seek refuge, after Allah, to build a future we desperately need in this age of creativity where giftedness is developed and used to serve our religion and nation.”

Saudi Post
Saudi post has evolved through two main phases. The first phase being the establishment of Saudi Arabia and the second the establishment of post by the late King Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman Al-Saud. The First Stage: Before King Abdul Aziz entered Riyadh in 1319H, some shop owners in Riyadh provided a volunteer postal service by placing white fabric bags at the Justice Square (Al-Safa). On each bag there was a name of a city or village. Senders used to put their letters in the appropriate bag and then these letters were sent on camels or donkeys to their destinations. Incoming mail was placed in designated places inside the shops and whoever had a letter had to come and collect it. In Makkah Al-Mokarama and Jeddah, the mail used to be carried on camels and donkeys on journeys that took up to 14 hours. The post office consisted of a chief, his deputy, stamp seller, registered mail official and regular mail official who were operating the post office. The mail was being carried once or twice each month by camels to places like Laith, Jazan, Abha, Najran and other southern region cities. In Madinah, the mail used to be carried by camels to Jeddah. After the establishment of the railway between Madinah, Jeddah and Damascus, the mail used to be transported by train. Mail between Jeddah and Egypt used to be carried weekly by Italian, Egyptian and Indian ferry companies. The mail also used to be collected once a week between Jeddah and Port Sudan and once every twenty days to India. The Second Stage: After the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the post witnessed significant developments that can be summarized as follows: Establishment of the Directorate of Postal Businesses in 1354H. Before 1373H the postal services were under the responsibility of Post, Telegraph and Telephone Department, and then the services were transferred to the Ministry of Transportation under the title of "Transportation Ministry Agency of Wire, Wireless and Postal Affaires". Saudi post has joined the Universal Postal Union in 1348 e. (1929). The first Saudi postal stamp was issued in 1334 e. Saudi Arabia is the second Arab country to issue regular and memorial postal stamps. Since 1390 e, Saudi Post has witnessed quantitative and qualitative developments. The first independent budget for the Saudi Post was announced in 1392 e, after the formation of the general directorate of post. The Ministry of Post, Telegraph and Telephone was established by the Royal Order No 236/O in 8/10/1395 e. Express Mail Service (EMS) was launched in 8/10/1404 e. The Third Stage: Among the developments witnessed by Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Council of Ministers issued a decision on 29/3/1423H (10/6/2002) transferring the General Directorate of Post into a public corporation operating within the philosophy of the private sector. At the beginning of 1426 e, a number of steps were taken at Saudi Postal Corporation (SPC) such as establishing new departments, launching new services and announcing the new project of providing postal addresses and post delivery to business and residential areas.

Saudi Railways Organization (SRO)
The Saudi Railways Organization (SRO) is a state-owned company that operates Saudi Arabia's rail network. SRO provides freight services on two main lines totalling 1018 km. These connect Riyadh with the port of Dammam on the coast of the Persian Gulf.[1] SRO passenger trains operate between Riyadh and Dammam. There are plans to extend the network to the Red Sea port of Jeddah and, eventually to the borders of Jordan, Yemen, and perhaps all the way to Egypt.[2]. The first railway in modern Saudi Arabia was the Hejaz railway, from the border of Jordan to Medina. This 1,050 mm (3 ft 5 11⁄32 in) narrow gauge railway opened in 1908, but was shut down in 1915. Modern railways were introduced in Saudi Arabia after World War II, to facilitate the transport of goods to ARAMCO (Now Saudi Aramco) from ports located on the coast of the Persian Gulf to warehouses in Dhahran. Construction started in October 1947 and the first line was inaugurated on October 20, 1951. It was initially run by Aramco, but subsequently transferred to the state and since 1968 has been operated as a public corporation. Several development projects have been completed since then, including an extension of the line to Riyadh, construction of several passenger terminals and the opening of a dry port in Riyadh.[3].

The attention is giving by the individual, private sectors and the government organization aiming for expansion of bee production and for diversification the bee industry. These efforts had been spoiled earlier due to lack of coordination between them. Henceforth the Beekeeper Cooperative Association (BCA) was established and put it efforts in bridging between the people who are interested in bee keeping industry. The aim of this association is to introduce the specialized person who may provide technical advices to maximize the benefits which is essential for bee industry. Theses assistance from the expert may also help in taking the right decision at the right time for such industry. The specialized people are playing a vital role in integrating, unifying, and coordinating the beekeepers in the Kingdom which leads to serving the beekeeping industry for achieving its goal and also for upgrading of the products and its quality. Therefore, BCA is pioneering and strengthening by serving the bee industry and plays leading as an interactive body for achieving the goal of bee industry not only in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia but in the Arab region as a whole. I have been assigned from the Arab beekeepers union to supervise the Arab beekeepers forum which allows me to lead from the front for progressing and achieving the success for the beekeeping industry. I am very glad this industry is substantially progressing by excellent training and feedback provided by the experts. We (association) all have learned a lot, and it has been very pleasant for having such cooperation and for its significant development and achievement. I hope in having more support from the interested and from the specialized people for an extensive growth of beekeeping industry which may leads in achieving the goal set by the BCA. I would also like to have the contributions and guidance from the expert in beekeeping not only from Saudi Arabia and but from the Arab region. The BCA’s regulations will be viable for such cooperation. Thank you once again. Dr. Ahmad Al Khazim Al Ghamdy.
